Diablo II: Resurrected

@SW-User World of Warcraft? Or Warcraft III? Because from what I heared Warcraft III remake was an absolute joke.

But after seeing actual players playing the early access stuff, I mean... How can they fuck it up from here?

@SW-User I actually never played Warcraft 3. Just Starcraft + Broodwards. I did buy Starcraft 2 last year and almost finished singleplayer during COVID. It's good but it's not like the original. The remastered version was pretty good.

I think they understood that they could also better the experience by allowing some new options. And considering the footage I see from the remastered Diablo II, certain features (altough optional) will make a players life a lot easier and ejoyable.

@Kwek00 I used to play WC3 a fair bit. They absolutely gutted and ruined the game. Broke almost all of their promises, delivered a horribly broken -- almost unplayable mess, and even forced those of us who don't want to use Remastered/Reforged to the new client, which means we suffer along with the others.

The game still is missing a lot of major things they promised, and there is still a number of problematic bugs, especially with gameplay. Then there is the matter of their EULA with custom maps... No one is happy. It's a gigantic clusterfuck.

@SW-User Apperently. Luckely for myself I missed all that. I just did Diablo, Diablo II and Starcraft. I also played some Warcraft 2, because I got some hacked version as a kid 😅

@Kwek00 It could very well bleed over to D2:R, so don't count your chickens before they're hatched.

@SW-User The studio that is working on it, has kept everything the same. It's actually just a diffrent skin over the original. Just like in Starcraft Remastered, you can switch from the new to the old look.

And everything they changed is "optional". So far people that tested it, only found changes in these optional things, like being able to pick up money without clicking on it. Which is a really good thing. 😅

But I understand the skepticism.
