I too prefer deep, close ties to people, but I've learnt that ... everything ends, no matter how tight & close you are, friendships die, wither, or get severed by circumstances; and you have to be willing to let go, when that happens.
@firefall yeah..the one i've had with a former workmate was only for several months..it made me depressed for quite sometime. but than God that i am way better now. its like, i was blinding myself and cant let go of it..i was deceived and trustful.
@missanonymouz Ah, being deceived & broken trust hurts badly: I try to console myself with the thought, better to have tried & failed, than to have sat in silence the whole time. Occasionally it helps :/
