@celine211 I know how you feel, I usually sense that someone needs help and I often offer it (or just do it) without them having to ask, thus sparing their pride and dignity. I'll learn one day . . . . maybe

Reminds me of what my mother always used to say, give them an inch and they will take a mile. Good for you for being kind enough to offer help in the first place though.

That's because you maintain a 'conditional' friendship with those people. This means that your personal friendship is not authentic. This is also the reason nobody wants to help you, because you have an expectation OF them that they owe you big-time. Bad way to go through life!
