Why are there no official friendship breakups like in relationships?

At least I'd know if I was bothering someone or if it's okay to message them every once in a while. How do people know they aren't friends with someone anymore?

It's hard to know what others are actually thinking

It's much easier to assume from the silence.
so in either case something is officially over when one has stop giving a damn and shut the other one out.

Sometimes the strongest thing isn't a word said or things done but time/silence/and distance between people.
