Odd how well it works to put a concrete block filled with concrete in your mailbox at night...
Whether the punks are bashing them with bats from car windows or running them down with their bumpers, it puts an end to their evening revelry.

I misunderstood your "revelry" to be deliberately bashing people's mailboxes... not a bit of carelessness fueled by recklessness.
In my youth, it was considered great sport to go out bashing mailboxes from a car window with a bat. I never participated, I guess I had a bit too much empathy with the owners of the mailboxes... but several people got hurt when owners of mailboxes started putting concrete blocks inside...
