Two.
First one is a butterfly on my ankle. I got it at 18 and it's pretty generic.
The second is a mountain range on my wrist with the words 'take me home' under it. The mountains are taken directly from a photo I took of the mountains as seen from my father's grave in WV. I no longer live there, so I added the words as a reminder of where my home will always be.

Plus John Denver was a pretty cool mofo.

I have a couple more I'd like to get, all with significant meaning and ties to nature or the mountains.

Four, over the course of about 30 years.
After leaving home at age 21, I got an eye of Horus, symbolises protection and good health
Some years after I was widowed and lost my son, I got an ankh, symbolises eternal life
When my niece was born I got a water lily (like my sister, she swims)
The last one was a fleur de lis, after Hurricane Katrina (I still have family in New Orleans, all survived, although some were displaced)

I have an owl with a skull in the middle. It's for dia de los muertos. I did it to embrace my culture. I'm Mexican. My family is Americanized so it's something they're not all about.
