Politics are the foundation of society.
Without governments and policing the world would decay into anarchy.
Man has a penchant for destruction and therefore with that knowledge I'd say that most of them would be dead or much worse off.

Without politics there would be no laws, no trade, not even between two individuals. I don't see how there could be any interaction between people without some kind of politics.
