Boxing Day left overs for the win!

SW-User Best Comment
I went to a family Christmas dinner once where a elderly relative stuffed a turkey leg into her handbag … she said “I’ll have that for me suppa luv” lol ☺️🥲

@SW-User Lmfao! Man I hope that handbag was empty! Lol

I am the one saying "honey, if you want some, take some home with you. No, I don't mind at all." :)

@Eddiesolds I have one daughter who will help and she has always been that way.
Makes me wonder if I did something wrong in the raising process or they are doing something wrong in the adult process. lol

@SW-User lol! That ending was funny.

@Eddiesolds LOL I have to find the funny side to things! I cannot go around mad or aggravated all the time. 🤣
always make enough for the holidays planning to send guests home with food. nothing worse than not having leftovers the day after Thanksgiving
@saragoodtimes I agree
Eddiesolds · 61-69, M
How are you feeling today? I've been thinking about you.
@Eddiesolds I feel much better but still shaky from all the steroids I had to get. Thank you for thinking of me..🎄

@mondayschild2 I'm happy you have someone there looking after you. Gosh I'm so you're here! Please take care of yourself.🤗🤗

Unless I really loved the food, like that lasagna 2 years ago... Otherwise no.
If i show up, they better give me leftovers

i send leftovers home with others, usually.
Eddiesolds · 61-69, M
@Eddiesolds You know I actually agree with this if the host paid and cooked everything.
Eddiesolds · 61-69, M
@mondayschild2 I'm just not into it. My brother hoards everything he can. Gosh we are so different.
I used to. Mom always cooked enough to send me and my siblings (who lived elsewhere) home with a sizable "care package". She doesn’t cook anymore, and when I cook, I leave the leftovers with her and Pop.

@bijouxbroussard beautiful 💜 such a good daughter.
I think it's great to do things like that for parents and other elderly.

It’s usually just left with us. Especially the stuff no one else wants.

I sure do. I have three teen boys who are starving to death 24/7
LucyFuhr · 56-60, F
It depends on who's hosting that year 😅

Not if it's turkey.
Usually, my mother provides a "doggy bag" for the cat or dog.

It was Chinese food. should of, but not. Still a wonderful dinner.
