Dew on the ground, hot coffee in my hand in front of a campfire, the smell of woodsmoke and sound of sizzling bacon in a cast iron pan, and a slowly rising sun on the horizon? Little in the world can offer the same sort of peace and happiness.

I love getting up early, stoking the fire, and starting my coffee. It's the process, the smell while it's percolating and of course the first cup. Gawd, I wish I was by the fire, reading with my coffee right now! Moonchild, I need to go camping! Thank you for reminding me!

And peanut you are missing the BEST cup of coffee ever. Tomorrow morning build a fire outside using even a oven proof sauce pan put your coffee I'm a filter and tie it closed and drop it into boiling water.....wait about 15 minutes...and enjoy.

There is something about campfire coffee. I go camping with a friend and it is definitely one of the highlights of the trip.
