Zero fat= zero flavor

sirweighsalot · 22-25, M
They usually put worse stuff in to compensate. When I want lowfat coffee/tea, I just use milk and no cream.
HumanEarth · F
My cream comes straight from my cows and is unpasteurized. Pure and natural the way god intended
Baremine · 70-79, C
Kind of like fat-free 1/2 and 1/2. How???
@Baremine
our taste buds can be deceived the absence of fat doesn't necessarily mean a loss of flavor. Some brands compensate by tweaking the balance of proteins and sugars to maintain the same taste profile using thickeners like carrageenan or guar gum to mimic the cream.
Baremine · 70-79, C
@mZ8iDC2IR5 sounds to me like we were better off with the fat.
@Baremine it says some brands not all and one regular creamer is 1.5g fat 1 sat fat 10% M.F. has the same thickeners
VeganYogi · 31-35
I think you mean 100% fat free or 0% fat.
Jokersswild · 22-25VIP
No, I already know it likely tastes like tar.
Iwillwait · M
Fat free is not the issue. It's the sugar or sugar substitute.
Iwillwait · M
@mZ8iDC2IR5 gram of sugar is a lot.
@Iwillwait bought it being curious and its the same as the other creamers because they got one gram too. and 1g sugar 2 carb per one tbsp is beyond too much but the dry coffee whitener had 1g sat fat and 1g sugar per 1 half tsp lol
Iwillwait · M
@mZ8iDC2IR5 I am using this Super Coffee Creamer does contain real cream though, 0 sugar, 15 calories 99.9% lactose free no seed oils.
ArtieKat · M
Ultra-processed food makes no sense to me at all.
Wiseacre · F
Nope, never fat free...our brains need fat.
0% fat free would mean 100% fat
Musicman · 61-69, M
I've never even heard of it.
@Musicman it is made from skim milk
