A good pizza chain doesn’t exist

Maybe if you're talking about national chains. Out here we have Mellow Mushroom which is outstanding, or at least it used to be until they revamped their menu.

Your Pie is pretty good, better quality ingredients.

Otherwise, the best pizza I ever had was a place in Westwood Village that advertised it was made with "genuine, imported New York City tap water." Apparently, the tap water in NYC is filtered through the basalt of the Catskill Mountains, and is pretty damn good. At least compared to LA water that comes through the granite of the Santa Monica Mountains, and as a result, is foul beyond belief. But the worst water in America has to be San Diego. They say, "youll never go hungry drinking Poway water."

Anyway, the quality of pizza is going to depend on the water the crust is made with.

@LeopoldBloom Interesting. I've always wondered why NYC has better pizza than the west coast.
@greenmountaingal Same with the bagels.

None really. Mello mushroom it probably the best “chain”.

@Chevy454 I like MM also, but none in NY -

Godfather's Pizza.

They have the best pizza I've ever eaten from a chain pizza store.

I'm surprised at how Dominoe's Gluten Free is the best I've had....

Domino's! Always the best.

Domino's. But the best pizza doesn't come from chain restaurants. It comes from wonderful individual Italian restaurants or old fashioned pizza parlors. In the LA area, I think the best pizza comes from a long time restaurant on Hollywood Blvd: Two Guys from Italy.
