@AngelKrish How long have you been a vegetarian for?

I never had any issues being vegan; June of this year would make 2 years for me as a vegan. You do get to learn more about food when you read ingredients labels more often, though.
it must be miserable they can't eat bacon, won't enjoy a nice roast and can't have fish.
no wonder they're so self righteous.
I feel exactly the same way I felt as when I ate chicken and cheese.

@Nadie what alternatives do you have for them, if you do? I know of tofu being used as a substitute for meat just as soymilk can substitute cow milk, but are there other things that can count as substitutes?
@Ursula there are a bunch of alternatives out there. Chicken is one they've got nailed down pretty well. But it's premade stuff, so I can't imagine it being very healthy. I try not to eat it too often, but it's definitely tasty. :p You can use legumes lots of times for "meaty" meals, and there are recipes all over for those. Cheese is a hard one though. I've yet to find any that are superb. I will say daiya makes a cheese that works wonderfully for pizza. I don't bother using it on anything else.
I don't know but it apparently increases their annoying factor.

Well in regards to food, we get to branch out instead of only eating cheese, bacon, and chicken. So that's really exciting and it makes you feel healthy and all. Dealing with idiots as a vegan tho, that makes me kinda want to poison the water supply sometimes.

it’s feels like an accomplishment in a meat-lovin’ world, i would imagine. i’ve heard people say it gives them energy and a peaceful sense of wellbeing. vegans look like they feel very skinny.

i dunno. i’m not vegan.

My hub and I were years ago. We followed the Fit For Life book. The recipies were tasty but we stopped and ate meat again. Even the author of the book stopped eating vegetarian!
I would imagine it to be equal to starvation feeling. I don't know for sure and will never know as long as there are meats to eat.
