I once managed to get an authentic antique khukri knife for a really good price, I've found out it's actually worth about 5 times what I paid!

In my late teens, a neighbour gave me a very old stereo.
Nice speakers; 3 speed turntable; 5 band radio; even a collection of 8-Track tapes !

Bought a 12 cent Amazing Spider-Man #50 for $5 and featured the introduction of Kingpin and was in fine condition. The next year I got $150 of credit by a store for it.

Nice antiques are tough. I bought tons in my 20's and 30's: tables, chairs, cupboards, art, glass book cases, chests of drawers, hutches, etc.

It exists today, but most has been picked over and is way too expensive for the quality.
