@OpalFlower several in a month so the many holidays sourrounding Christmas new years thats nothing but i need a mental health day Thats the problem? Idk.

@exchrist Once in awhile is ok but this is too often. I just hope with this situation it doesn't become another statistic based on truancy.

@OpalFlower id agree moderation is key. You dont want to use all your leave time so early in the school year. For sure!

You never really know whats going on in peoples lives. My son is way more content playing games than outdoor activities. Hes overwhelmed and overstimulated easily because hes autistic. Social pressures are harder for some of us.
Do you know if they have a developmental or physical disability that prevents them from living your version of normal?

@MarbleMarvel That is the thing there is no such thing as normal but I can't offer to hangout if majority of the time is spent on devices. Also I don't want to aide in habits where school is left on the back burner for things like the gym when gym time could be done afterschool. I think schools and DCF might get involved if they noticed too many unexcused absences.
