My 20 year old daughter was dealing with a bunch of 12 to 18 year olds this summer for her job. Was quite unhappy with all the "soft, squishy, whiny" types that were quite numerous.

I have a theory on that that goes all the way back to 1986 and the 40th anniversary reprinting of Dare to Discipline by Dr. Spock, in which he said spanking suppresses the creativity in children, to which the leftists ran with and created safe spaces and timeouts, as well as participation trophies, pretty much likening any sort of constructive discipline as abusive, that only passive discipline is allowable, as well as "positive affirmation". All of this within the past 38 years led to the three youngest generations, the Millinneals, Zoomers, and now Generation Alpha, to become spoiled entitled brats, we are now seeing the end results of that sentence which the Post WW II parents rejected in 1946.
