@Greenbare That study by Johns Hopkins has gotten a lot of mileage. It is unfair to physicians and does not use traditional data compiled by the CDC, because the CDC does not track medical errors. So, the study often relies on anecdotal evidence, rather than quantifiable data. It also applies "medical error" as a cause of death to patients who are already on the brink of death due to medical conditions. Yes, physician care and carelessness must be monitored, compiled and eliminated as much as possible. But using that study as a reason not to seek medical attention is a suicide mission.
