I grew up in the 1950s and 60s. Most of my friends were spanked until the age of 14 or 15; it was confirmation that was the turning point. Maybe 10% of my friends were like my sister and I still spanked after the age of 14/15. My mother wisely believed that our behaviour and not our age should decide if we should be spanked or not.

When they grow up and act like responsible adults. There is no age. If you act right, you can avoid it at any age.

Usually kids with good parents don't even begin corporal punishment. They might spank their kids, but good parents are aware that you don't need a weapon to discipline a child.
