My wife is a nurse and when my mothers health went down hill i slept at her home to help her and my wife helped to wash and feed her. In the end she went into hospital where she passed with all her family and grand kids at her bedside. Parents give so much when we are growing up it the least we can do for them when they need us.

@nevergiveup Absolutely. That's why I won't let her have to pay for anyone else come into her home. I owe her.

Will do. God bless you for taking such good care of your mother. My own daughter lives in the same building I do and she doesn't help me at all and I'm disabled. So I know your mother is very grateful for you. It means everything.

@LadyGrace It takes me about 5 minutes to get to my mom's so I'm there alot anyway plus I call her every day. Your daughter oughta be ashamed of herself. I'm so sorry.
I have two answers:

1. I’ve been where you’re standing and I know how it feels. Praying for you both.

2. There is a chance you can get paid by the government to help you retain your financial health.

Somebody who works with you in patient care may be able to help you, or at least give you direction.

@Mamapolo2016 Thank you 🫂

Family is more important than customers or patients and you are right to prioritize your own blood over someone else.

Your mom has been for you when you were a kid, when you needed her guidance, when you needed her to console you. Now, the tables are turned and she needs you just as much as you needed her.

A family is a gift and I am proud that you take that decision to follow your heart.

I'm an only child too...not easy...will pray for you and your mom. It will somehow work out because you are doing the right thing. 🙏

As an only child , you need to take care of your mom. A real challenging situation.

Sending prayers and well wishes.
🙏🏼
I believe that there is away to get paid from the state to help your mother. Especially with you already being qualified.

🙏 Your commitment is exceptional!! So many today just shove them in a retirement home and forget them!

Abba as we come before you in prayer, I pray for your child known as Tumbleweed, especially her mother.

We bind the spirit of infirmities according to Matthew 18:18 and loose the Healing Spirit.
We choose to uproot every root from our lives and plant the seeds of the Word that keeps us free.

In Jesus's mighty name we pray.
Amen

Mom comes first. You take care of her. We`re all thinking of you both. ❤
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@Tumbleweed That`s for the best.
@Tumbleweed i would take the keys or disable the car too. Sounds mean but if she gets the idea she may forget and get into go somewhere.
Tumbleweed · F
@NightsWatch No, she's completely in her right mind. She won't drive. But if it comes to taking the keys, I will
Nitedoc · 51-55, M

Sending out all the positive vibes that I can for you and your mom, my friend.
Musicman · 61-69, M
Will do! 🙏🙏🙏 When my dad got cancer I had to retire six years earlier than I had planned on to take care of him so I fully understand where you are coming from.
pdockal · 56-60, M
you should look into getting paid for this
Tumbleweed · F
@pdockal I don't want that because it doesn't feel right
pdockal · 56-60, M
@Tumbleweed

your doing it because you love her
so taking money from the government for this isnt wrong
the government takes enough from us anyway
Tumbleweed · F
@pdockal So true
