@Maaadison I agree with you but I don't find it the least bit funny. On the contrary, it saddens and angers me.

To each his own. As long as they don’t harm anyone. It is just their way of expressing the degree of love they have for their pets. I am a mother too and though I know having a real child is different from having a pet, I just let others be.

you can tell the ones that never had kids. lol I had gf that kept comparing me to her dog.. :) very annoying

People who own pets but who never have children equate owning a pet with parenting, and the two are not even remotely similar. Raising a human child is infinitely more difficult than having a pet, obviously.
