@Nana09 You have been exposed to a harsh reality. One or both of your parents are liars. They swore an oath to love and cherish each other till death and to foresake all others. If they won't keep their sworn oath to each other how can you trust anything they tell you?

Remember that when you are thinking about getting married and discuss the issue with your future spouse. You both may want to alter the words of your vow to each.

Try to talk to them and tell them how you’re feeling. I know that’s hard but it needs to be done. I know you can do it

Why not tell the parent you are closest to about your fears?

They may not be thinking about the whole situation they are in.
