I had one, and some of what I know in love is from him. He was born to an abusive father and epileptic mother, he then spent years through foster care and homes. I'm not sure that pain ever leaves, but I only felt love from him, like all his pain he went through he never wanted us to feel from how gentle he was and wearing his heart silently on his sleeve.
