We have been using the Stokke Tripp Trapp ever since my son was a baby. You can change the height of the seat as they grow up. We started with the baby set etc and now that my son is 6 (we took out the table and the baby seat..) , he is still using it as a dining chair with us. It is a very good, sturdy and useful accessory for babies/kids.
@Clarashelper I just ask for a child seat and most of the time they have it 🤷🏻♀

@BloviatingBuffoon but they aren’t going to have a child seat for someone who is smaller than a newborn. The high chairs almost would work but I’m looking for something more specifically that she can climb up into herself and that would also bring her close enough to the table. She needs to be right up to the table to reach your plate and with a highchair they are really meant for babies and toddlers don’t need to be right up at the table as they get help feeding
@Clarashelper I’m so 😞 sorry yours is a special case. maybe there are some portable chair seats like a clip on but ofcourse you have to help her get on it. We honestly didn’t even bother with special chairs as soon as my son was more mobile and independent enough to sit. We have been dining out with him eversince he was born and as soon as he can sit upright, he just sat in a normal dining chair. 🤷🏻♀ we rarely ask for a kiddie chair.
