Well your mom likes your dad so being your fathers child can't be all bad.

I wouldnt take offense. I think she was makinf a joke. But I know that can hurt your feelings if you like your mom. She certainly didnt mean to hurt your feelings.

That is one thing we have no control over. The DNA you get is your own, but is inherited. You are part of both of course. Being offended by that is silly.
