Guilty as charged.

Yes.
I think recent history has taught many of us that life can be way too short and way too difficult to navigate with all the so-called government advice bombarding you every minute of the day.

Couple that with a media that seems to want to instill a constant fear to anyone watching; listening or reading and you get people not enjoying the 'now'. Which is all we're guaranteed

@Picklebobble2 well said. Preach on
My father lost my mother after being married for 66 years.
The anniversary of her passing was yesterday. He and I spoke for hours. The person he’s known best in his life, and he said he could still think of questions he wished he’d asked her. 🥺

@bijouxbroussard the love continues...
@bijouxbroussard I respect my father never wanted to know his parents (he was fostered).... I respect she when they got married she wanted to know what illnesses were in his family. If you are going to have children, you need to know what you may face together. I've been thinking of this recently, as while they were young together, she was smart in asking him. He had always denied those parts of his life, and I'd understand why for a child who was left as a foster child wants to leave it alone, but history repeats itself.

For me, even though it was a different time, it displayed a sensitivity of her my mum understood. So to continue, within response to your comment, I learned months ago I might have a step-uncle. My mother decided, years after my father passed, to find his story, and it turned out he had a half brother who also had children.

My mother has always been so giving to family, love, and she must still miss him, she wanted answers even 14 years after he passed. It's natural 🥺

Unfortunately the only people who will talk to me are on here.

I have no friends. I even work remotely, so alone.
FreakLikeMe · 56-60, M
@JoyfulSilence Me either. I don’t have a friend anywhere. But I also have horrible social skills, so I just stay away from people. It reduces potential embarrassment.

This post reminded me of what truly is important, thanks for posting, the importance of giving our undivided attention to our loves
If you are saying you have lost a spouse, my sincere condolences 😔
FreakLikeMe · 56-60, M
@BritishFailedAesthetic No, never lost a spouse, but I’ve wasted a lot of time on myself that I could’ve spent loving her. I’ve learned to do better over the years though.
