My mother and I have an amazing relationship. If she ever exasperatedly asks who spoiled me so much every finger is pointed at her. Literally worship the woman!!
My father is much harder to deal with. My mother runs heavy interference. I don't have any use for him and my younger sister avoids him although we have happily married parents. If you asked him what his children thought of him he'd probably tell you how we weren't even junior high school yet when he caught us in his home office trying to figure out the safe's combination and find his will. Why make people think your kids were plotting to kill you?! That's not exactly what we were doing but he beat our asses like we were and said we could at least wait until he was dead before showed such disrespect and greed. If my father was murdered I'd be the prime suspect with my sister as accomplice which is exactly why I'd NEVER even try to kill him.
