Children of this day and age do not have the traditional "childhood" that one had growing up "back in the day." Kids nowadays have to deal with adult situations that they are clearly not ready for. Life is too complicated for kids now and there is too much pressure min all areas for them and then we wonder why there is much dysfunctionality in this world.

Even compared to when I was growing up in the late 80's and 90's, the external environment is so different. Much less discipline, far more permissiveness and children really being guided by the state and corporations.

Feathers11 - Not that long ago we still had child labour, 150-200 hundred years ago. Poverty, hunger, work camps. So physical life was very hard then, now to easy, many were beaten. Now to easy ....

Technology has a lot to do with it , giving kids the idea of how they should look and how they should act its unfortunate now that they seem to think they have to conform to a certain way of life with peer pressure also.

Yes, for some reason there seems to be increasing pressure on children. Partly I wonder if due to the internet they become aware of so much so soon nowadays.

some times they just want to fit in with the others but that is not always a good thing even when they know its wrong its hard for them to not follow
