Whatever the wrongs and rights of any relationship, the reality is that things are never "fair". Never fair as far as treating others right will inevitably result in others treating us right. Just don't expect it, demand it or even insisting that is how it should be. It simply isn't!

Treat others well, treat others kindly, but know that there is no reward as such. Let go of expecting anything else. There is sometimes a strange sort of peace that comes from simply being true to ourselves. Anger, spite, even a sense of entitlement, will never bring anything other than more of the same.
