@ArtieKat thank you. Getting older really does suck, especially when you're a legal adult but still feel like a child. I miss being 13 :( Glad I'm not alone

It's a bit of a vicious circle. Turning 50 does not magically confer maturity and neither does turning 18.
Acting childish is usually thought to mean selfish behavior, "gimme's" and tantrums when I don't get what I want. It can also mean risky behavior - not thinking it through. And flares of temper over minor things. In theory, adults talk things through. In theory. Not here, of course.

It’s absolutely normal. You get to a point where you really don’t feel any different. You work, you pay your bills and take care of the “grownup” responsibilities because you have to, but you’re still you, if that makes sense. If I owned no mirrors, had no early mornings aches, I’d still be...around 30, I suppose.
