The amount of deception some people are willing to use just to make money is really something.
And honestly, looking back, what makes me sad is that my friend misused my life stories…my family situation, my MBA, my desire to improve my life and they built the entire story around those things.

In terms of the situation, her parents and my parents were friends, so my dad asked her dad if he knew of any job openings. That’s how she got to know about my family’s situation. And as for me being a student, well, that’s not really a bad thing. And who doesn’t want to progress in life?
