This is where being exposed to AMWAY and AMSOIL in the 70s was the perfect avoidance training ground.

@Gibbon My mom was involved in a few MLM products. But back then there were actual daily products we could use. Now, the products are getting ridiculous.
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@BetweenLines that's exactly what Amway was except you had to sell most of what you bought especially to buy more. It was the ultimate model of MLM business modelling

my hub got scammed into giving SMC 600 or 800$ and one of my aunts was in that monove drunk stuff or whatever it was called she wasted a lot of time and money on it
If you’re really interested, we should meet again and I’ll explain it to you properly. This is NOT an MLM, but an investment program. My purpose today was mainly just to meet up and catch up as friends. BUT SINCE YOU ASKED, I am happy to share

Perfect example
I’ve been targeted by MLM scammers twice. They always pretend to be friendly but have clear ulterior motives. They love preying on young, energetic people to buy into their scams. Luckily, my BS radar was on full blast both times, and I shut them down immediately.

So the whole time, your friend was setting you up?
BetweenLines · 36-40, F
@DanielsASJ There’s more to come in part 2. Exposing their sneaky ways.
