I haven't told any lies for years. The last time I lied was because a friend asked me to lie to him (because I am normally so brutally honest that he thought it would be a refreshing change for me to lie to him for once). I told him I won the lottery and became a millionaire. After he replied "really?", I said "no, but you asked me to lie to you". We had a good laugh about it afterwards. That was in 1999 (and that's the truth).

@MissMollyCharlotte0702 Please don't pretend it's a "joke" to call someone a liar. It's extremely trollish and you know it. As Deadcutie says, "unless you can prove otherwise", people are always innocent unless proved guilty and that principle applies here as much as anywhere. It is not "funny" to falsely accuse anybody, especially not after 1970.

There are lies to spare feelings and there are deliberate lies that ultimately hurt feelings. The second type are what most people refer to when they think of a "liar"
