@KickfaceK Even if you can't. Make time for yourself. Get your nails done or whatever makes you happy. I hope you have an awesome day. Happy birthday in advance. :)
KickfaceK · 31-35, F
@SW-User Thank you. I will try to do that.

SW-User
@KickfaceK You're welcome

What I have learned is not to count on anyone else. Take it upon yourself to make your birthday a special day. Treat yourself to a spa day or a weekend getaway with a friend.

@sassypants i wish i had friends... im also struggling to get by. *sigh*
sassypants · 36-40, F
@KickfaceK so sorry hun! 🤗

Getting older is not for the weak, but something tells me you're far from weak.
Enjoy your day, make this the first of many great birthdays.

@rottenrobi Thank you. I will try.

🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 sometime u just make your own plan and don’t expect from anyone .. that’s what I have learnt ...

SW-User
I started using mine to spend a day doing nice things on my own. People still take me out for dinner or occasionally get me a gift, but I make plans for just myself. It's not bad.
KickfaceK · 31-35, F
@SW-User Just dinner would be nice for me..

SW-User
@KickfaceK Have a favorite meal at a restaurant you like. Even alone, it’s special.

SW-User
It seems like it’s time to let your husband go. You seem very unhappy.
KickfaceK · 31-35, F
@SW-User Ex husband. Thankfully. Unfortunately, we share a child so he still has to be in my life.

SW-User
@KickfaceK Oh my, I didn’t read the “ ex “ part 😅, my bad
DrWatson · 70-79, M
It sounds as if the problem is the people around you, not getting older.
Do you have a friend you could spend your birthday with?

All I can tell you is, you just get used to it. Buy yourself a present though -- something thoughtful. :)
DragonFruit · 61-69, M
Not getting older sucks worse.
KickfaceK · 31-35, F
@DragonFruit True enough. Though with my hangups in life that can be debatable.
DragonFruit · 61-69, M
@KickfaceK Nonsense! It’s always better to be alive than dead.
antonioio · 70-79, M
Your being silly
Your so young and theirs so much living for you to do yet
Your talking about your ex so I will say this to you
Never look back because anything good to come will only be in the future

KickfaceK · 31-35, F
@johntomSWPhd yes. I have a kid and two step kids, but split custody with my ex and his.
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
I don't mind my birthday. I think about the better times
HotPizza71 · 51-55, M
I always treat myself to something, as I'm getting okder, nobody buys presents anymore
