I understand putting what is supposed to be in the recycling bin into the general one but not really the other way around.
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@CrazyMusicLover dunno what any of that means. But I guess every country uses their own system.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@Mellowgirl These should be on most products. I thought they were standardized at least within Europe. That still doesn't solve the problem where you should put milk/juice boxes (C/PAP 84) because this varies city by city here. You simply need to check and this is one thing that I'd simply throw into general garbage because at least here I can't go wrong with that.

@CrazyMusicLover yea that's too complicated for me. I prefer this. I'm doing my bit. Those that train in the recycling department can place the items in the respective bins. Might sound ignorant but clearly it's a big ask to get people to do the basics

I do think food waste should be its own container composting would be far easier.
Unfortunately in general there is only garbage and then recycling containers
I know the garbage company goes through all of it to pull out anything of value and food stuffs are often redirected to be composted. I don’t know the effectiveness of their current operation plan

@exchrist so where I live we have a food waste bin outside. But generally I don't waste food. The odd occasion something's spoilt I take it straight to the food waste bin coz it usually one item.

As for recycling. I let it fill up in the reusable bag then take it at once. I make sure jars that had sauce has been washed out too.

General waste is in a smaller bag to take out more frequently to stop the dog attacking the bag.

Not at all.

I am very particular about trash, recycle, compost/bio degradle.
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@Fieldmaster it's really confusing to me that this is so hard.
