automatic transmission should be one leg

You shouldn't be driving with two feet anyway. The two foot thing is old and has been proven to be dangerous. Try freaking out and hitting both the gas and the brake...

Actual facts: While some people do like driving with 2 feet, if they see you doing it on a driver's test or in the military, they will fail you.

Ive never heard that.

If you have a manual trans then left leg is clutch. Right is gas and brake.
SouthernBoxer · 31-35, M
Accelerating instead of breaking is not caused by using two feet, it is caused by confusion and the driver's inability to control himself or stay calm.

That is not a fact, as many people do and are able to take tests using two feet. All you've done is generalize and assume. Placing "fact" in front of a post does not make it fact, yet for some reason you seem to believe you know how every single driving school and test is constructed.

In the UK we were taught that with an automatic transmission you should only use one foot for both pedals.

@Artie - I have a love of comedies and film from that era. The quality of writing was so much higher.

@SouthernBoxer: over the course of my life - and I passed my driving test over 45 years ago - I have read many times of people dying and killing others because they accelerated instead of braking.

@csb90: going back to 1989 - presumably before you were born I knew one person who had had a high-performance Jaguar adapted to hand controls because he didn't have the use of his legs. Everything is possible.

@Artie - Yes he is, and on my block list if that's any indication, lol

@Artie - My god, I haven't seen Whacko in years! :D

It has been proven to prevent wrecks, as the driver can break faster, then accelerate, or whichever is needed. A driver can "freak out" using one foot and cause or be in just as big a problem. Along with the logical idea of there being two pedals, humans have two feet.
SouthernBoxer · 31-35, M
You can drive however you want. It is quite logical to use two feet, considering you have two, and there is also two pedals.

I am sure it's possible to get a car that is adapted...

Ahh, I just realised you are in the US, so it would probably cost you a fortune :(
SouthernBoxer · 31-35, M
There's no logical reason to only use one foot, while there are multiple supporting two feet.

@Quizling: Nor have I for that matter lol - and I'm much older than you!
japanesemaples · 36-40, F
I drove like that at first years ago. You got to learn to adjust

Are you a troll, SouthernBoxer?
