@DunDunDun What are some health benefits even if you ate it? One person said it lowers the high blood pressure.
DunDunDun · 22-25, F
@SimplyTracie Other than things like relieving pain and helping with mental health issues like anxiety...I can't say it cures cancer or anything because it hasn't been medically tested I don't think, but there's plenty of evidence to suggest it. I think there's other things it can help too but idk cause I haven't looked into it much. You can always just look it up yourself tho and find out. There's plenty of information on the internet about the pros and cons that're more reliable than listening to random people on sw.
@SimplyTracie The only thing I can thing of that makes any sense is - some people say it relaxes them - so perhaps when they are high their blood pressure is lowered. Dope is dope, you can say it has all of these medicinal qualities, maybe maybe not. Just look up who pro dope smoking and see what they are publishing.

Tell ya what I heard. You can make rope and paper from that stuff way hi qual and super cheap.

That Patty H.'s guppa started the whole pot is illegal so he would not lose billions. See he bought up all the forests and pulp mills.

You can't even make this up. Fams the lords of shitpaper and bird cage liner.

Lifes not good for your body. In fact. The longer you work at it the less your chance of escaping an eventuall death. But pot might make up for that some.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@SteelHands I see. 😬
SteelHands · 61-69, M
@SimplyTracie Life's got options in a free capitalist society but they come with price tags so we don't get carried away.

Even though some are too dead to take any and others are too stupid to not know when to stop.

That's where CBS comes in for them.

*mixes another captain and coke*😌

Is drinking too much water healthy? Everything can be over done. Yet some things one should never take. Marijuana is in the grey area. It has useful purposes. Yet can it be over used or abused? Yes to that as well. It effects the mind and since it does that, some should not be doing certain things while under it's influence.... Like driving!
SoFine · 46-50, F
1. Growing brain,up to 30yo, no, it's not a risk worth taking.
2. AFTER 30th birthday yes. ...yet not before work or any activity that can cause damage to others, as in driving or use of heavy equipment.

Note: those who have to have Marji to have fun, do have life issues. As one can use to avoid doing household chores, or even avoid work, study, been hygienic.

Any drug in moderation. ...
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@SoFine After age 30 the brain stops growing? That’s interesting. It might kill some brain cells. No?
english · 56-60, M
hey serious its been a while,well it has now proven that pot isnot the addicting gateway drug that they have been telling us for decades.Mediucal research is now taking the good stuff and producing new medicines, for all kinds of ailments, helping cancer patients ,children who suffer from violent tremors ,you dont have to get high, the other good ingredients in pot have beneficial aspects .,For those who dont smoke ,edibles will be the next big thing ,in chocolate ,cahes ,muffins ,even in soft drinks coke cola have invested millions on producing soft drinks with thc for those who do want to get high.It is also being added a new line of make up not the thc bit the oils,which apparently is amazing for the skin. so serious your all up to date ,i still owe a picture lol 🙃
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@english Hi and don’t call me Shirley.

But is it beneficial for the body in its natural form/edibles without extracting the chemicals?
english · 56-60, M
@SimplyTracie ok shirley ,\I am the only measuring stick ive got,ive smoked pot For almost 45 years,along with cigarettes sadly ,on my last physical in Jan i got a clean bill of health including my lungs ,call me lucky idk it is what it is.no one has ever died from taking pot to my knowledge.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@english Lucky for you. 🍀😊

I think way back in in history, tobacco was considered to have medicinal characteristics but I’m not sure about that these days.
room101 · 51-55, M
It is neither healthy nor harmful per se.

Like many plants, when used in its unadulterated form, it can be beneficial as pain relief and for all sorts of other medicinal purposes. Also, when used in moderation recreationally, it can be quite a pleasant experience. It's when its laced with all sorts of chemicals that the dangerous aspect of it comes to the fore.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@room101 That makes sense. But smoking it cannot be healthy I don’t think even in it’s natural form.
room101 · 51-55, M
@SimplyTracie Inhaling smoke of any kind can be harmful to our lungs. That's where the moderation bit comes into play. Living in a city with diesel and petrol fumes pumping into the air all day can be more harmful than the occasional hit of mary-jane.
vetguy1991 · 51-55, M
I think it has pluses and minuses
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@vetguy1991 Maybe.

@SW-User Hmmm I think mine is usually low. I should check it. We have a BP kit.
SW-User
like most fun or tasty things, it's unhealthy on the long run.
DunDunDun · 22-25, F
@SW-User That's good for you but that's not the case for everyone. Marijuana has been a life saver for some people.
SW-User
@DunDunDun it was a joke ._.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@SW-User Yeah because it’s probably bad for your body.

ScarletWitch · 26-30, F
It's my poison
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@ScarletWitch Why is that? 🤔
They , meaning scientists have done studies that suggest that smoking that stuff lessens your brain potential. For example if you are 19 years old and smoke dope and can do Algebra NOT smoking it may give you a better grasp on higher math. Thats just a rough example. I dont know exactly what they said but it was something like that.
@SimplyTracie IDK about that but I heard that the active ingredient is fat soluble which means it is stored in fat cells in your body for about 30 days - and your brain has those cells
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@MarmeeMarch Thank you. I was curious
@SimplyTracie I am sure you will find tons of stuff online
ihatetrumplol · 26-30, M
The smoke can’t be good for the lungs and people who are naturally more anxious can have bad reactions to it but other than the lungs and losing brain cells 🤷🏽‍♂️
ihatetrumplol · 26-30, M
@SimplyTracie 🤨 good idea I’ve never had them
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@ihatetrumplol Don’t do it.
ihatetrumplol · 26-30, M
midnightsun · 26-30, M
It's not. The chemicals from smoking mess with your health.

The problem with weed is the same problem with nicotine. Smoking.

If there's an efficient way by not smoking then I'll think about my position.

Second problem is the "high" you get by releasing dopamine and other hormones in the brain. It affects brain's natural functions.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@midnightsun So I guess edibles are still a no-no
midnightsun · 26-30, M
@SimplyTracie I have never taken edibles so I don't have an opinion
Snorlock23 · 22-25, M
I think all drugs are bad for you.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Snorlock23 Dome people say it’s an herb.
Mentalicious · 61-69, M
It's harmful to my lungs because each time I take that first hit I cough and if I smoke too many days in a row have a hard time breathing.
But edibles I don't think it is harmful
Mentalicious · 61-69, M
@SimplyTracie It sure relieves depression,
so yes
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Mentalicious You eat it whenever you’re feeling depressed? I guess it’s better than any prescription pills.
Mentalicious · 61-69, M
@SimplyTracie No, I've never ate it,
but I'd like to try some gummi worms or something
DunDunDun · 22-25, F
There are pros and cons but mostly pros. If people only use it if they're old enough because of brain development and all, they don't do it too often, and they don't smoke it and just eat it or something, then there's nothing wrong with it. Also it should be legal for medical reasons.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@DunDunDun I read that 33 states and DC have legalized weed for medical purposes.
SW-User
tbh it has its pros and cons
thepreposterouspanda · 36-40, M
I use it as medication, so I'd say yes. xD My blood pressure stabilized after eight years when I started smoking; something five pills weren't managing to do. :)
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@thepreposterouspanda Whoa! How does it do that? The chemicals in the weed?
thepreposterouspanda · 36-40, M
@SimplyTracie I'm honestly not sure! There's a lot to the science of it that I'm still learning about, but it has a wide range of medicinal uses. :)

There will always be naysayers, and I would never say that it's a cure-all; diet is a tremendous player in it as well and so is exercise. However, it has definitely helped me in ways nothing else did. :3
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
It actually help with many problems such as pain, anxiety, depression and so on. It's only not safe if you are bipolar or have psychosis.

@SimplyTracie the CBD gives anxiolytic properties. THC gives euphoria.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@basilfawlty89 Ahhh Gotcha.
