She probably knows you're destined to never find a job in the field you've chosen.... and that means you'll be living at her house forever.

Well I intend to work in a school and teach students with learning disabilities... which I’d always thought was a valid profession ... is it not?@anythingoes477

That's not a good thing to do to a child, especially as I see you want to be a SPED teacher. That's a special calling, and if you want to do that, go for it. There's a lot of job security even in districts that may not be hiring, once you have the SPED certification.

@antisocialbutterfly dam right.. i have a doctorates in arts w/minor in medicine.

big waste of time, to everyone else. they didn't take the time and didn't understand.

if you get complaints, you must be doing something right.

Mine was the same as hers (education). But I like to think she would’ve encouraged me even if it hadn’t been, because I was finishing college. Not everyone does.
