I suppose a bad attitude can be like a "cancer." It grows on itself. I'll give him the benifit of the doubt.

Sorry to hear about Tony Blackburn.

There was a penultimate Radio 1 show for one of the DJs...maybe TB. I spent the whole time laying on the grass (it was outdoors) kissing one of the most handsome men I ever dated (or seen). That's a nice memory.

Ahh, Tony Blackburn was caught up in it recently, but Noel said to a cancer sufferer on Twitter that he had cancer because he had a bad attitude. To defend him slightly, I think what he meant to say is that a good attitude can help your physical wellness.

That's great that you've found that, Carissimi. I didn't know you were from the UK, but good that you've found a radio app to let your listen and enjoy what you enjoyed back then.

Radio One nobody listens to Radio One nowadays it's gone strange we all listen to local radio stations on Digital Radio maybe you could listen to Virgin and a few other stations on-line where are you living now then
Carissimi · F
Yes, mustang. I've been here for over 26-years, but I still have my English accent...or so I get told all the time. 🙂🇬🇧🇱🇷

Err I think you might not fall into Radio 1's listener demographic! lol Do you actually like the music? I now listen to Radio 2 which is like Radio 1 was when we...I mean you were younger. :)
MartinII · 70-79, M
I remember Radio Caroline well. Was raided and closed down in the late 1960s, I think.
senghenydd · M
@Carissmi Digital radio as I've said is great Smooth Extra, Nation Extra, Virgin, Radio 5 Live great for sport, and Radio 5 Extra more sport, Leading Britain's Conversation (LBC) these are on digital radio maybe you could find them on-line as well worth listening if you do manage to find them have a listen and let us know what you think.
Carissimi · F
I do remember Radio Caroline.

@Seng, I'm in the States. I like Radio 1. It sounds just like it used to, only the DJs are different.

I tried Radio 2, but sounds old fashioned now. I prefer R1.
GlassDog · 46-50, M
Hehe. Tony Blackburn and Noel Edmonds are still on TV and radio regularly (although Noel has been a bit of a naughty boy recently).
Carissimi · F
@Mike, I'll give it a try, if I can get it.
Carissimi · F
@Dave, I do like the music and the presenters.
Carissimi · F
I'm glad to hear that because I had this awful feeling that TB may no longer be with us, but I think I was getting him confused with Terry Wogan.

I hope it's not that operation Yewtree witch hunt saga? I'm glad to hear Sir Cliff has been exonerated. That operation is a disgrace, and a waste of taxpayers money in my opinion.
