That's a very interesting case of the Reverend Michael Hall he obviously wasn't living at the property as a member of the church he was exempt from living at the property and paying Council Tax, my late Uncle was a member of the church of England a Rector had a home he never lived in, I can see how easily this was done.
The criminals simply stole his identity I guess sold the house at Auction that would of been the easiest way " under the hammer " I wouldn't be surprised to hear the Police are still looking for the rogues no doubt they got away with a clean pair of heals. What ever next.

@HollowayRoadN19 The Clergy are allowed to have/own an empty house whilst living in a Rectory/Vicaridge attached to the church.
I expect the Reverant Hall hadn't visited his home in a while, his documents were cloned no doubt prospective buyers viewed the property, it's pretty daring, were the Rogue's caught?

@HollowayRoadN19 OK I found the account the Rev Michael Hall eventually got his house back, the people living there needed an interpreter in the County Court they couldn't speak English well enough to defend themselves in court.
They were described as Squatters I don't think so, they were innocent of this crime, and as far as I can gather the real villains haven't yet been caught.
My Late Uncle the Rector of xxxxxxx. would be laughing his head off, he worked and lived in the Midlands most of his working life he hardly visited his home in Wales, it's a wonder his house wasn't sold, maybe he had his neighbours better trained.
