@HijabaDabbaDoo Lithium batteries can short due to the growth of trees between the plates known as dentrites though differnent to those that form when a metal freezes. Then you get a shiort ciruit giving heat and bang up she goes. Lithium is int he same gorup as sodium potassium etc - the most reactive group of metal. You want to make a bang, through your old lithium batteries on a fire (serious not recommended by the way)
