@DeWayfarer The thing is, the West continued to punish Haiti for overthrowing the French and driving them out. The countries that still held African slaves (including the USA) were terrified of Haiti’s success becoming a rallying point in their black communities.

@bijouxbroussard It's why they still are afraid of real Democracies. They literally say they are afraid of the people. Like there would be nothing but chaos.

It's yet to ever happen though.
