There is no such thing as a "Log cabin" Republican in this Republican party. And Mike Johnson is a total, down on his knee's, genuflecting MAGA Republican.

"Log cabin" Republicans has little to do with sexual interests, much less with Internet accounts.

A Log cabin Republican doesn't stand for conservative values per say either.

A log cabin Republican has ALWAYS stood for slaves rights Republicans. Hence the origin with Abraham Lincoln.

Those, calling themselves such, are totally misguided extremists.

And I am a Democrat that stands for the whole LGBTQ++ community. Not just LGBTQ.

@bijouxbroussard BTW it's something in these three statements of yours. I still have no idea what...

@DeWayfarer Wow, that’s the first time I’ve seen that. I guess we need to stop, or continue the discussion privately. Someone might’ve complained, or thought we were angry. Your posts are not hidden; apparently just mine are.

@bijouxbroussard it's the three warning rule. If someone did it they had to do so three times against your statements.

I was unaware of a lot of this. I knew about the Grindr surges, but that's about it.

But at least Log Cabin Republicans are straightforward about the fact that they are gay. In the past, when I heard someone ask how a gay person could support the Republican party, my answer was, " one household with two professional male incomes and no dependents = Republican tax bracket!" Also, I figured there was no contradiction in being gay and being a hawk about the old Soviet Union and Communism. Those two issues: taxes and spending, and Cold War politics, used to be the hallmarks of the Republican party.

But the Republican party today is a lot different from what it was, so I wonder as well nowadays what the Log Cabin Republicans are about. I do recall them running anti Trump ads on TV, so perhaps they seem themselves as a "reformist" wing of the party today. (Or maybe I am wrong about that and am confusing them with the Lincoln Project? )
@DrWatson Some of the few gay Republicans I know also support the Lincoln Project, so at least they aren’t Trump supporters.
