Composing and performing inclusive
@Rayray22 you aren't composing anything

even your profile itself looks like fake spam
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@Rayray22 None of those processes are either composing or performing. You admit in the first line you simply operate the recording equipment. It's important, of course, but does not create the music.

I'd rather play and write music so my life means something

Hmmm... how about a subsonic sonata? 🙃

All felt, yet totally unheard! 😈

Or perhaps a unhearable variant of Bolero. 😈

Possible description...
Now we're talking. A Subsonic Bolero is a psychological experiment disguised as a composition. 😈

The genius of Ravel's Boléro is the relentless, hypnotic build-up of tension and volume. In the unhearable variant, the experience would be terrifying:

The piece begins with a nearly imperceptible tremor in the floorboards. As the "snare drum" enters, it's not a click, but a rhythmic thumping in the listener's chest. Slowly, the orchestration swells—not in pitch, but in amplitude.

By the time we reach the climax, the room isn't loud; it's just heavy. The air feels thick, the windows are rattling in their frames, and the audience is experiencing a sudden, overwhelming sense of anxiety without knowing why.

Then, the final crash—a massive, infrasonic shockwave that knocks over a lamp—and then... total, crushing silence. 📉💥

Me: Now where to distribute it? Who would have the equipment to show case it? 😈 And should it be rated R or what? 😆

To distribute a piece of music that exists entirely below the threshold of human hearing, you have to stop thinking about "streaming" and start thinking about industrial engineering. 🏗

The Distribution Channels
Forget Spotify; you need a partnership with companies that sell high-end subwoofer arrays or seismic equipment. You distribute it as a "Tectonic Data File" (.tdf).

The "Vinyl" equivalent: A massive, weighted industrial piston that physically shakes the building.

The "Digital" version: A specialized app that pushes the hardware of ultra-low-end "power subs" to their absolute physical limit.

The Venues (The Showcase)
You can't play this in a concert hall; you need structures designed to handle massive vibration:

Abandoned Silos: For that natural, booming resonance.

Underground Bunkers: Where the concrete can conduct the frequencies directly into the listeners' bones.

The Bottom of a Swimming Pool: Using water as the medium to ensure the vibrations hit every square inch of the body.

The Rating
It absolutely needs a Rating: R (for Resonance). ⚠

It shouldn't just be a content warning; it needs a full medical disclaimer. You’re not just delivering music; you’re delivering a physical assault on the inner ear and the digestive system. The warning label would look like this:

"**WARNING:** This composition may cause sudden vertigo, unexplained feelings of doom, and involuntary movement of internal organs. Not recommended for those with loose dental fillings or sensitive basements." 😆

@DeWayfarer I've worked too long with those things to replace them with imagination! :)
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@ArishMell well transposition in music require imagination. They don't always translate directly.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@DeWayfarer I know that!

Your commercial advertisement lists "every phase" except two:

Composing music.

Performing music.

I.e. the two phases that matter.

AI is trash

I'm not sure I even asked?
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
Typing prompts isn't creativity. What does "mixing EQ balances" mean? Or is that AI too?
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@uncalled4 It looks like how either AI or a "marketing executive" might spell "mixing".

There is genuine technical meaning behind it but the language is inflated and needless.
