my last time I went thru texas was in 95,amarillo,thru the panhandle,,,,,i know southwest Kansas is not far from texas,real close,

@Bluesky53 that’s only about 80 miles from Our farm (Amarillo). We go up there to buy parts for our equipment and supplies that they don’t have in the little towns around us.

Same here..Born and raised in Texas. I've never really considered living anywhere else. The summers here can be pretty rough though.

I have visited other states that I really liked but when you have your job, family, roots in one place, it's hard to make a big move.

From what I have seen there is so much difference between one part of Texas and the others it must be difficult to love or hate all of them.@TexChik

@AnneHoney there are piney woods, beaches, desert canyons, lush hilly areas, Sandy areas , black land , and flat open ground where you can see forever . Big place 😉

I have lived in Oklahoma, sure miss the mountains, to damn flat in Texas!!! Lol. But, I love living here....only about a mile from the Okla border...lol
