Dolly was a treasure. I love all the joy, humanity, and compassion she brought to the world. May she rest in peace.

Was this written by AI?

@ChampagneOnIce she was indeed a great impact to the world, why would you ask that ?
ChampagneOnIce · 51-55, F
@Richardwillym2 Just curious. It’s well written, which isn’t the norm around here. 😄

@ChampagneOnIce Haha, thank you. I actually love taking my time to choose the right words. I feel like words carry a certain weight, so I’d rather say something thoughtfully than just rush a response.

Absolutely. Julia Roberts spoke of Dolly never complaining; she asked Dolly why she never did, and Dolly referenced when you grow up poor like she did, you do not complain when you escape.

Most artists have such depressing childhoods that I don't understand why the story always repeats itself. Of course, I’ve been looking into it, and nine out of ten artists have exaggerated biographies. They recount their hardships—childhoods marked by poverty or despair. You all have problems, that’s clear, but why do you think that pattern keeps repeating so often?
Richardwillym2 · 61-69, M
@mazedona I think it’s because hardship can really shape the way someone sees life, especially when they experience it from a young age. Take Dolly Parton, for example. She grew up poor, lost her younger brother, faced rejection, and still found a way to turn those experiences into music.

I don’t think every artist’s story should automatically be believed, because some people probably do exaggerate. But I also think there’s truth in the idea that pain can influence creativity. Sometimes people take what they’ve been through and turn it into something meaningful. Dolly didn’t let her struggles define her; she used them as part of the story behind her music.

This topic has been beaten to death on here. Let the lady RIP for Pete’s sake.

@AthrillatheHunt Right?! She's not a saint she was just a human. It starts getting exaggerated.

@Magenta they’re renaming the Nashville airport after her
Richardwillym2 · 61-69, M
@AthrillatheHunt yea I guess so
