When I was little I went to church alot and one verse always bothered me or I should say that it didn't bother me but I would always wonder about it and wondered if God was unfair?

I wondered how a loving God could reject people who seek and love him?
But, as I grew older I came to understand that many people who go the church services, even some people who work in the church and people who claim Christianity do not know God.
I don't know about Jim Carey's inner mind or his relationship with God and I didn't watch the video but I have heard many people speak that way
Some people claim to be a Christian but it's more of like a club for good people in their eyes.
I am always hopeful that if someone is hanging out with Christians or reading the Bible that they will have an encounter with God and discover the Biblical truth

@REMsleep Yes, you have that exactly right. It means that some people claim they know Christ, but there's much more than just knowing there is God, yet doing nothing to accept his Plan of Salvation, and thereby, missing their only way to heaven. Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man can come to my Father except by Me. John 14:6

I read years ago that Jim Carrey had admitted he sold his soal in order to be famous. No idea if its true,,,,but
@Confined I heard that as well, but there's so much misinformation going around we certainly can't depend on media.
I really don't think he did. His story was that he wrote himself out a million dollar check I believe and carried it around with him, in hopes that one day he would be famous and would someday cash that check in for a real paycheck, and he did.
