Hey. I believe in God. Would probably be classified as a Christian. I like God, the people on his team, I'm not so sure about. Maybe opening myself up to criticism with that comment. However in believing in God, I believe that there is room for creationism and evolution. Can't explain, but that's why God is God and we won't completely understand.

Well I wouldn't lol. There is no need for god to account for evolution. I was just acquiescing to the fact that you can't disprove god.

@MetalGreymon: Yes indeed. The creationists are dragging the god postulation around like a child's security blanket, and trying to stuff it into any nook or cranny they see, in a desperate attempt to somehow make it necessary... or even relevant.
That same lack of compelling necessity to even postulate its existence renders moot any argument about proof either way.

At is base level it's really still just the god of the gaps.
A tremendous argument from ignorance.

And your proof of evolution is? Sorry little girl it is and shall remain your's to prove. You don't understand science or debate.

@MetalGreymon: Oh, it's very likely he's away on some other page making the same claims as if nothing had happened here or on any of the numerous other threads that he has abruptly abandoned.
He's an enthusiastic champion of giving others the opportunity to demonstrate the academic poverty and duplicitous sophistry of creationist claims. 🙂

He is pretty hilarious.
I love how strong he comes on and how quickly he backpedals when it's time for him to advocate for his position.
Nothing but red herrings and excuses.
I think we could accurately sum up hippyjoe's entire debate career with "won't cast my pearls before swine" and " But if evolution is true, how did life start!?"
😆

yeah i hate it when religious people use the bible or some other holy book as proof for something. "Because it's in the Bible" or "Because God" is not an answer.

I am an Atheist, but will never make an argument that God does not exist. I am making a guess, based on my research, using my education and the research I've done (and that includes books, etc.). It's still however a guess, because one thing I know, is that I don't know what I don't know.
Religion is about blind faith. You can neither prove it, nor disprove it, again, because we have not discovered the definitive laws of nature/physics yet. It's work in progress.
Until then, I would say that we should live and let live, and by that I mean both sides.

@Celine: Thank you. This is what I'm trying to say here.

hi Celine
Santa - there is hearsay he exists and a convincing backstory but I gotta say I sceptical. Still live and let live. I mean that i don't see evidence that santa exists but i don't have evidence that proves he doesn't.
Happy Christmas
:)

@sogdianrock:
Multiverse is theoretical and at this point, it consists of math only. It seems plausible to me, and mathematically speaking, the universes do not co-exist, at least they do not all share the same space/time dimensions (which leaves the possibility of colliding universes).
I think it will be decades before we can move from theory, to an attempt to start proving some of these theories. That's OK. It took a century between the time George Boole came up with Boolean logic, and our first application of that theoretical branch of math to computing (and nearly all computing circuits are based on it, not to mention a good portion of software).
I believe in The Multiverse also! Do you think we are mathematical in essence and so occupy no space and have no mass so infinite universes can all occupy the same location - whatever that means! Who needs God to have a Reality Party!
Best wishes

hi Celine
wow that is a complicated question!
I never met a creationist - knowingly anyway. Is that like people who believe Noah's Ark really carried all the animals two by two? No wonder they do not believe in burden's of proof!
Best wishes
:)

hi Celine
well without that argument then why does the Bible n to mention dinosaurs and says the world is a few thousand years old - as calculated from their list of who has lived. I mean talk about elephant in the room!
Good talking with you

@MrBrownstone: just a joke...

The ones who truly believe in a religion think they don't need to prove and the ones who have a little sense of mind are afraid because somewhere they know they're wrong.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
Still talking about this shit.😒

@Celine: Agreed. But you don't debate the answers that disprove you on your posts.
