Interesting. I have a question. I've been curious as to who was right on this point for a long time.
Jesus said not everyone who called on him would be saved, but Paul said they would. Who was right? Jesus or Paul?

@val70 No. You gave no answer. You dodged the question by talking about Augustine instead.

"Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
"And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love."

Amen. It discusses the Christian's perspective on life and death, and encourages believers to live with purpose and integrity, knowing that one day, we'll stand before Christ to give an account of ourselves.

Wishing you well :)
It is about God's glory, they had that confidence as they believed in the only way to get to heaven and avoid hell- they believed on Christ.
