So you're saying that the humans understood Noah's message and entered the Ark and it was "angelic beings" who ignored it and were drowned in the flood?

@robb65 no one's trying to separate verse 38 from 39. Apparently you are misunderstanding verse 38 and 39.
I apologize, I have assumed your comment was that of an unbeliever, simply because the verses doesn't say what you are implying and other than sarcastic reasons I can can't see how you misunderstand it.
Nowhere did it say that the people received the message and the people entered the ark other than the family of Noah, neither in Matthew or in Genesis.

@robb65 your initial comment was " so you're saying the humans understood Noah's message and entered the ark."
My answer was and still is no. The humans did not understand Noah's message the humans did not enter the ark. When you say humans you have to be implying all the other people other than Noah's family.
You continue to say"it was the angelic beings who ignored it and were drowned in the flood." That statement implies that only the angelic beings were drowned in the flood. My answer is still no because they were the offspring of the angelic beings who drowned in the flood that I referred to as the Nephilims in the Hebrew Bible the Christian Bible removed the word, how it was accomplished they married the daughters of man whether sexual interlude or artificial insemination offspring were still produced.
What was the flood all about, the first few verses in Genesis 6 tells us it was about the sons of God taking the daughters of man and marrying them and having children with them, corrupting man. And Matthew tells us that as it was in the days of Noah before the flood came it will be that way again.
It is natural to eat and drink, and as commanded by God to marry and be given to marriage for humans to do so.
And if you feel in the Book of Matthew there is nothing that implies "They" were anything other than human who ignored Noah's message that is your prerogative. There are many who still refuse to believe that there was an entwinement between angelic beings and women. And that in the Book of Matthew it is referring to man so believe is you choose.
Paul even gave a warning that a woman should keep a covering over her head because of the Angels.
As written in Daniel 12:4 in the last days knowledge will increase in people will be running to and fro. Doing in-depth studies people are understanding scripture more.

The fallen ones and the watchers and angels all represent the same beings.
The Nephilims are The offspring of those beings.
