I get this, all of it mostly...I too had some of my most trying trials and tribulations after some time in the faith, even now my life is at stake but I trust that God is in control man may have meant it for my evil, but God meant it for my good!

Amen, this is the hardest part for us to acknowledge but it is so true!
@saintsong no man can pluck you out of God's hand, praise God!

AMEN!! Yes, this is definitely what grows our faith. Our lives would be terribly boring and unhappy if we WERE without trials and what have you. I used to run like crazy from troubles and avoid them at any cost but now I know they are not there to hurt me but to help me. They show me exactly where I need work done on my faith and walk with Christ. It is always best to meet those challenges head on. I learned that the hard way. Once we face them God can help us and specially when we pray, we give him permission and consent to guide us and listen carefully to his guidance. If we don't address the issue head on, it will stay with us until we do! We might think we have moved on but we won't until we resolve what we need to learn, in order to grow. Every time we take three steps forward we'll have to go all the way back three more, until we learn the lesson so we can move on. Great post brother.
Trials like these give us confidence, as we get through to the other side. They certainly build our faith.
@LadyGrace Amen sister, I just thought when the clouds are blocking the sun, we will always see glimpses of the light!

Amen. Many of us seem to get stuck in a Romans 7 life, when God desires us to live a Romans 12 life!
@OverTheHill Yes, Romans 7 is good at summarising our struggle with sin!
