@Fukfacewillie Haha, probably the best answer.

I had a meeting with HR last week. Guy introduced himself as a People Business Partner.

WTF, youve never made a penny for the business in your life and now you're a business partner. But youre right it's a sound career move

Only you can answer what you'd like, Jess. I worked in different areas of Hospitality all my working life - with large companies there's always a career structure to enable promotion. But I've always accepted that Hospitality is not for everyone.

@Jessrf

Welcome to the madhouse by the way 🤗

Find something you want to do. Approach the company and ask to trail that position as it's something you always wanted to do. You may not get paid, but it's free experience and a foot in the door.

@meggie good idea 💡

think about school and what courses are offered. what would be fun to you to learn? whats somehitng you can see yourself going to school for that you would enjoy? that might lead you to a job youll be happy with. there are many certificate courses that can get you a decent job.

That's a really hard question but I know what you mean 🤔

Assuming you work for a big chain, McD etc, do the best you can do every day then work your way up to management then buy franchise(s)
Jessrf · 18-21, FNew
@Caz82 yeah it is

@Jessrf Well figure out how to sell more burgers (or whatever food you do) trust me that will be noticed.

Your bosses are always looking for people who go above and beyond.

@Caz82 good idea 💡
Find something that interests you and learning about it interests you and that if you are good at it then it pays you something. If you aren’t interested in it you won’t have the energy to learn enough to be proficient at it
